Reseller Hosting FAQ What kind of platform do you run? Our servers run CloudLinux 7, cPanel and Litespeed Web Server (latest), and MariaDB 10. What hardware do your servers run? Intel Xeon E5 Series Do the servers have SATA or SSD Storage? All storage arrays are 100% SSD. Do you run RAID? Yes. Hardware RAID LSI Controllers with Battery Backup for redundancy and speed. Do you offer backups? Yes. Shared and Reseller Hosting accounts are backed up daily to an off-site location. What kind of backup system do you use? We offer daily backups to off-site servers with 30-day retention using JetBackups. Do you offer IPv6? Yes. If you need IPv6 enabled for your hosting account, please open a support ticket. How can I get a SSL Certificate for my website? You can install a SSL Certificate from Let’s Encrypt from the cPanel Interface. How many cPanel can I host on my reseller account? You can add a virtually unlimited number of accounts to your reseller account. What are the limitations on the accounts I can add to my account? You are limited by the amount of storage allocated to your account, you can not create cPanel accounts with “unlimited features”, and we disable overselling. Can I get a white-label cPanel/WHM URL? You can access cPanel, WHM, Webmail over HTTPS using any domain hosted on the server. cPanel does not provide any other means to white-label your login URLs. Can I use white-label DNS Servers? Yes. Please open a support ticket for assistance. How is my storage usage calculated? Your storage space consists of your website(s) files, your emails, databases, and any manual backups you may take from the cPanel interface or via Installatron. Do you offer an Application Installer? We offer the Installatron configurator to automate the installation of a wide variety of web applications and content management systems. How can I change my PHP Settings? Through cPanel. You can use up to 1 full CPU core and 1 full Gigabyte of RAM. Why are the CPU and RAM limitations low? A full E5 CPU Core offers a lot of power and is sufficient for almost any personal website. 1 Gigabyte of RAM should be sufficient for almost any personal site either. Additionally, such limitations are necessary to ensure the shared hosting platform is performing optimally. Do you restrict the number of inodes? We do not. However, Shared Hosting is not for meant for file storage. If an account that uses an unreasonable amount of inodes is detected, DigitalFyre reserve the right to put a restriction in place at its sole discretion. Is there a restriction on the types of websites I can host? Yes. You are not permitted to host pornographic materials, copyrighted materials, phishing contents, contents of racial or derogatory nature, proxies, email blasters. Are photographer portfolio sites exempted from the pornographic material restriction? Yes. Photographers with portfolios containing nudity, gore, or macabre must open a support ticket upon signing up to notify our staff regarding their intention to host these materials.
